On 24 April 2023, the Health Policy Development and Planning Bureau (HPDPB) of the Department of Health invited PNVSCA to serve as resource speaker during their 1st Quarter General Staff Meeting with “Kindness Culture: the HPDPB Way” as the theme. Ms. Maribel F. Larracochea of PNVSCA shared the basic concepts of volunteerism, volunteerism as a development strategy, the role of government in volunteerism in the Philippines, and volunteerism as an ultimate act of kindness. An Open Forum followed where the employees asked questions and shared insights on the impact of volunteerism and expressed their interest in volunteer work. The activity was held at the Madison 101 Tower in New Manila, Quezon City, and attended by more than 60 employees led by Director Frances Rose Elgo-Mamaril of the HPDPB.
