The Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) and Caraga State University (CarSU) have formalized their commitment to mainstreaming volunteerism in the academe through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed as part of the culmination of CSU’s 1st Regional Climate Change Action and Innovation Forum on 29 October 2024 at the CSU HERO Learning Commons. CSU is the 71st partner higher education institution of PNVSCA and the first ever in the Caraga Region.
This MOA represents a mutual understanding and shared vision to cultivate a culture of volunteerism, service, and civic engagement within the university community, contributing to the overall development and welfare of society.
Present at the signing onsite for CSU were President Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil and Mr. Vincent N. Cotoron, OIC Director, DRRM Office while for NEDA Region X, Mr. Gemeniano B. Crisante Jr., Chief Economic Development Specialist (representing RD Gemima Olam). Executive Director Donald James D. Gawe, Ms. Ela Victoria Sarmago and Ms. Rizalene Velacruz of PNVSCA attended online.
