To further strengthen the volunteer service program in the country, the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) will conduct a regional multi-sectoral advocacy and consultation forum in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

The PNVSCA partners with the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA- CAR) to gather advocates of volunteerism from different sectors in the said region and to conduct the ‘Forum on Volunteerism,’ which will be held on 5 July 2018 at the Hotel Elizabeth in Baguio City.

NEDA- CAR Regional Director Milagros A. Rimando is expected to welcome participants from regional line agencies, local government units, not-for-profit organizations, private corporate and government owned and controlled corporations and the academe.

Considering the comprehensive experiences of volunteers in CAR, PNVSCA Executive Director Joselito C. de Vera said the forum will serve as a appropriate venue for the different sectors to discuss substantial volunteering strategies to sustain the government and private sector efforts in regional development especially in disaster-prone areas.

The PNVSCA has been conducting series of advocacy and consultation forums across the country since 2017 to enjoin the active participation of policy makers, program implementers and the citizenry in development efforts through volunteerism under the Volunteerism for Development Communication and Advocacy Program (V4DCAP) 2017-2022.
