The Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency extends its warm greetings to the Philippine Red Cross on their 70th anniversary.
With their quick response during calamities and other emergencies, PRC has saved millions of lives through their systematic programs and services in the fields of health and disaster response and risk reduction management. They have also inspired, mobilized, and built the capacity of thousands of volunteers who selflessly serve the marginalized.
Apart from being a Volunteer Lifetime Achievement Awardee (VLAA) of PNVSCA’s Search for Outstanding Volunteers, PRC is also a home of distinguished fellow VLAAs who served as volunteerism champions namely, Senator Richard Gordon, Ms. Rosa Rosal, Ms. Lourdes Casas-Quezon, Ms. Corazon Alma De Leon, Ret. Justice Leonor Ines- Luciano, Ms. Esther Asuncion Vibal, and Mrs. Amelia Juico-Gordon. Undoubtedly, PRC is a prime example of an organization which embodies and fosters the country’s culture of “bayanihan”.
The volunteer community thanks PRC and commends its contribution to national development. Happy Anniversary, Philippine Red Cross!
