05 October 2016 Peace Corps Response Volunteers Training

Eleven (11) Peace Corps Response Volunteers (PCRVs) arrived in Manila on September 24, 2016 and underwent an 8-day training to prepare them for their seven to eight-month assignments. The training culminated with the PCRVs Swearing-in ceremony at the Peace Corps office on October 5, where the oath was administered by the U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines Philip S. Goldberg. The PCRVs will be working in their areas of expertise including Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, Education, and Environmental Protection with Local Government Units and State Universities in various provinces of Region VI, VII, VIII, and CAR.
